The Archdiocese of Hyderabad came alive on 24th August 2025 as around 600 young people gathered at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Ramnagar to celebrate National Youth Sunday at Archdiocese level with faith, energy, and joy.

The day began with the solemn Eucharistic celebration presided over by Fr. Viji Joseph (main celebrant), joined by Fr. Praveen (parish priest), Fr Jerome (our youth director) and Fr. Sleeva (regional youth director). The youth-led liturgy was marked with a colorful procession with flags of different parishes. After the proclamation of the Gospel, and a moving youth oath of commitment, Fr. Viji, in his homily, inspired the gathering to be authentic witnesses of Christ in today’s world.
Later in the day the youth expressed their joy in a flash mob, followed by interactive sessions on witnessing in faith, the Focolare vision, and Christ-centred communication. Later inputs included Artificial Intelligence, Mental Health awareness, and practical ways to live the Gospel in the digital era.
The afternoon featured games, gospel band performances, adoration, and a creative prayer with thumbprints symbolizing personal commitment. The Revelation band helped the young to adore the Lord where Jessy and Roger John prayed for the young. The celebration concluded with a Eucharistic procession led by Msgr. Yeruva Balashowry, filling the atmosphere with reverence and youthful devotion.
The event was a true blend of faith, fellowship, and formation, empowering the youth to be joyful witnesses in Church and society.
